How To Clean Your Phone Properly

Cleaning your cell phone is a very important part of daily maintenance. It keeps the phone looking beautiful and preserves the sensitive components. This gives it a longer life span. A cell phone can last for a great deal of years if it is properly maintained.

The first step to cleaning a cell phone properly is to turn it off. Press the red on/off button for a few seconds and make sure it is turned off before any cleaning is done. You will be using some kind of cleaning agent for your phone and you do not want the phone to be on if you accidentally spill some on the casing. Removing the battery is optional but it is not a bad idea at all. In fact your phone could use a battery reboot anyway so go ahead and take it out while you clean.

Next, you will grab a soft rag to clean your cell phone with and a bottle of Windex. Windex is excellent for cleaning the body of the phone as well as the LCD screen. Try to use the softest rag you can possibly find. Paper towels work but they might be a bit harsh on the screen.

Do not spray the Windex directly on your cell phone. This could cause an accident where your cleaning agent could get sprayed onto a precious component. Spray your Windex directly onto the rag so that you have control over where it goes. Only spray once or twice so you do not over saturate the rag.

Wipe the screen of the phone with soft “up and down” motions until it is clean with no streaks. Then, go over the body of the phone in the same manner, removing all finger prints and various stains. When your phone is clean enough for your liking, let it air dry for five minutes and put the battery back in.
